لبناني مسلم ينتحل شخصية يهودي ليتزوج شابة من الحريديم
بعد أسبوعين من زفافها، اكتشفت امرأة يهودية من طائفة الحريديم الأصولية، في بروكلين بمدينة نيويورك الأميركية، أن زوجها لبناني مسلم، وكان يتنكر في صورة شخصية يهودية.
وذكرت شبكة "بي بي سي" أن الشاب الذي يحمل اسم "إيليا حاليفا" أو "إيليا حليوة" واظب على ارتياد مدرسة دينية للحريديم في تكساس عدة سنوات مخفياً أصوله، وتعرف في أثناء ذلك على الشابة عبر موقع يهودي للزواج.
وفي فيديو على مواقع التواصل، يظهر الشاب يوم الزفاف في صالة، يشرب نخب حبيبته ويقول كلمات عاطفية وسط تهليل الحضور من المدعوين.
غير أن صديقاً لعائلة العروس شكك في أصل العريس، حتى إنه لم يحضر أحد من أفراد عائلته الزفاف. والعريس بدوره كان قد أقنع عروسه وأهلها بأنه منفصل عن أهله كلياً.
ولدى فحص شجرة عائلة إيليا، تبين أنها تضم أسماء من اليهود الأشكناز الأوروبيين، مع أنه ينتمي إلى اليهود السفارديم الموجودين في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.
وهنا قرر أشقاء العروس التسلل إلى شقتهما وتفتيشها، ليعثروا على جوازي سفر باسمين مختلفين، الأول لبناني، والثاني أميركي، وأبلغوا الشرطة التي أخذت العروس إلى مكان آمن.

Apparently, “Eliyah” learned Hebrew and Torah in Texas and then married her. The man had allegedly produced a “family tree” (riddled with glaring inaccuracies), that even had Ashkenazi names in it (such as Meyer Lansky – the same name as the notorious mobster in the 1920’s.) وفتح مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي "أف بي آي" تحقيقاً في الواقعة، وأصدرت شرطة نيويورك بياناً قالت فيه إنه لا يوجد تهديد حقيقي للجالية اليهودية، ولا علاقة لهذا الأمر بالإرهاب.
ونشرت مواقع يهودية صوراً لإيليا وهو يرتدي الزي التقليدي الأرثوذكسي في مناسبات عديدة، وفي صورة أخرى ، شوهد على ما يبدو إلى جانب أفراد من عائلته اللبنانية الذين لا يظهر أنهم يهود، على حد تعبير أحد المواقع.
وذكرت تقارير عدة أن الشخص اعترف للشرطة بأنه ليس يهودياً، وإنما مسلم لبناني وأراد فقط دخول اليهودية، وأن الزفاف كان خطوة أخرى في هذه العملية.
