Job opening: Sales Manager

Job Summary
We looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, formulate sales plans and justifying those plans to the upper management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Developing the sales strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
 Overseeing the sales budget; ensuring that spending is accounted for and in line with company procedures.
 Formulate a sales strategy with clearly defined goals looking at how best advertising and sponsorship income can be maximized, both in print and digital forms.
 Effectively manage the team to carry out the department’s strategy
 Preparing and presenting quarterly reports on the sales department’s activities and results to senior management. This includes reporting on the results/effectiveness of activities.
 Building relationships with relevant agencies and bodies to insure maximum impact in local and regional media.
 Identifying key events where there should be a company presence
 Set sales targets to be achieved monthly according to the marketing statistics and expectations.
 Manage aftersales survey to distribution channels to determine the right target market and increase/decrease quota accordingly.
 Will be working with finance to ensure that correct income projections are factored into budgeting process.
 Will be working closely with finance to ensure that all internal financial policies and procedures are adhered.
 Will be working closely with head of marketing to ensure that marketing department is aware of sales targets, contacts and strategy and able to provide support where possible.

 English, Arabic Languages.

Job description

  • Develop, rollout and lead the social Media strategy for the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed globally with clear targets, KPIs and within the approved budget.
  • Oversee a group of teams of Social media junior, Senior staff, and multimedia team.
  • Proactive planning with the use of social marketing Strategy & plans and specific social media campaign plans
  • Build Relationships/ Partnership to expand our websites reach.
  • Grow Social Media engagement, reach, and impact through proactive campaigns and creative social media initiatives.
  • Create, manage and grow the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed’s presence through YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, telegram  and other strategically relevant online properties
  • Writing and presenting reports to senior management
  • Create and manage regular analysis and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of our social media activities
  • Ensure that all activities and campaigns are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Be the key representative for Social Media in the business.
  • Demonstrable passion for social media with and an understanding of appropriate content formats for each platform
  • Manage performance & campaign execution and implement changes when needed
  • Plan and manage the publishing calendar, social objectives, messaging, writing posts, sourcing or creating the visual images for these posts, aligning to the overall social media marketing plan
  • Provide insights behind social media channel metrics and traffic. Create monthly / quarterly social media learnings/insights ensuring clear insights/actions is the focus, rather than just data that rolls up to global report
  • Use Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
  • Review and monitor competitive brands in similar communities

Requirements

  • +6 years’ experience with running large social accounts on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  
  • +4 years’ management experience as Social Media Manager
  • Background in News Media is a must.
  • Strong managerial skills.
  • Know how to engage an audience through social media posts and interactions.
  • Ability to plan, create and implement social media strategies with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media and digital analytics tools is necessary (e.g: Google Analytics, / effective measure / social bakers/ Buzzsumo) in order to be able to implement the recommendations of the monitoring and analysis efforts into future engagement activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media and how to engage fan base on digital platforms in the public space
  • Demonstrable passion for social media with and an understanding of appropriate content formats for each platform.
  • Familiar with SEO techniques.
