Clashes between Syrian opposition Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zinki continued on Tuesday, with civilians falling victim to the latest inter-rebel infighting.
An uneasy truce between two of Syria's largest rebel groups continued on Tuesday, following a hastily agreed reconciliation agreement was put forward by negotiators.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zinki have clashed over the past several days in western Aleppo with civilians killed in the fighting which has been condemned by other opposition groups.

On Tuesday, reports emerged in pro-opposition media that Nour al-Din al-Zinki would agree to a reconciliation agreement put forward by negotiators under certain conditions.

They have demanded Hayat Tahrir al-Sham release prisoners and withdraw from several positions. Nour al-Din al-Zinki also blamed the coalition for the al-Qaeda linked alliance for the latest spark-up.

Nour al-Din al-Zinki broke ranks with HTS ranks several weeks ago following continued tensions between the sides who have clashes on numerous occasions.

Supporters of the two groups have accused each other of instigating the crisis, with HTS blamed for storming an armoury in Aleppo province seizing anti-tank missiles.

HTS have attacked other rebel groups in Idlib province, including Ahrar al-Sham in July.

The two groups have fought a series of low-scale battles in northern Syria, while Nour al-Din have cut its alliance with HTS on several occasions following disagreements.
