'I'd rather be single': Arab women shut down sexist Saudi hashtag on marrying female doctors

While most of the world is consumed with the recent unravelling of Hollywood's sexual assault allegations and the wider concerns around it, one Arab man felt compelled to discuss a more "important" topic with his fellow folks.
'Would you accept marrying a female doctor?' propped up as a trending topic among the Saudi Twittersphere earlier this week, and thousands of men, obviously, took part in the pointless and misogynist debate.
Many men were outraged by the mere thought of a female doctor touching another man, while others were more concerned about their wives being intelligently superior to them. Eye roll.
One even went as far as to suggest it was “rare to find a female doctor that can also cook”.
Thankfully the sexist debate was disrupted by Arab women who had 140 characters to spare and thoughts to share.
