Israeli forces carried out a series of raids early on Monday morning in the occupied West Bank, arresting 14 Palestinians according to an Israeli army statement.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA also said that a student was injured when Israeli soldiers shot him in the neck with a rubber bullet after they stormed the village of Beit Rima northwest of Ramallah.

Clashes broke out in the village after the Israeli troops entered. The troops used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse dozens of protesting youths.

WAFA added that Israeli forces broke into houses and arrested three Palestinian children in the village as they were heading for school.

Israeli forces also stormed the villages of Selwad and Al-Mazraa east of Ramallah and Qabatiya south of Jenin, arresting five young men in the village of Selwad and two in Qabatiya.

They also arrested Mahmoud Sharti, who had previously been a prisoner in Israeli jails, after storming his house in Al-Mazraa, as well as Malek Ashtiya, another former detainee, after he left a hospital near Nablus where he was being treated for a heart condition.

Israeli troops also carried out further raids around the city of Hebron, setting up checkpoints around nearby Palestinian villages.

On Saturday, two Israelis were stabbed in the village of Azzun in the West Bank
