Lebanon PM Hariri says close to forming new government
Hariri has met with lawmakers over the make-up of the new coalition, which is expected to include all main parties within Lebanon's sectarian power-sharing system.

Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate Saad al-Hariri said on Friday that he is close to forming a new government.
Hariri has met with lawmakers over the make-up of the new coalition, which is expected to include all main parties within Lebanon's sectarian power-sharing system.
"We have come very close to the final equation...There are still some consultations," Hariri said after meeting President Michel Aoun. "The issue is the size of the parcel that each political (party) wants to get."
"God willing, we're getting there," Hariri said, without giving a timeframe.
A caretaker government has been running Lebanon since elections were held in May.
The Iran-backed Hizballah and its allies gained more than half the seats of the 128-member parliament in the 6 May parliamentary elections, with Hariri's Future Movement party losing a third of its seats, resulting in 21 won.
Foreign donors have said Lebanon needs to form a new government quickly to maintain confidence and begin work on reforms to boost the country's ailing economy.
Hariri said on Friday that Lebanon was committed to implementing reforms.
