Israeli use of tear gas drones to quash a Palestinian demonstration has drawn widespread criticism as well as feats over the future methods of the occupation.
New footage has emerged showing Israeli forces for the first time ever using weaponised drones against Palestinians.

A clip published by al-Mayadeen shows demonstrators in Gaza being targeted with tear gas fired from small planes, in what could be a first step towards more widespread use of unmanned military technology against Palestinian civilians in a non-combat environment.

Some 200 demonstrators gathered along Gaza's eastern border on Friday to protest US President Donald Trump's move to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Many were injured by Israeli bullets during the demonstration, according to Lebanon-based al-Mayadeen.

The Israeli military said in a statement that using drones as a so-called crowd control method is still "experimental" and is yet to be made operational, Haaretz reported.

Two Palestinians were killed in clashes in the West Bank over the weekend.

Mohammad al-Jabari was shot dead by Israeli forces in Hebron on Friday, and Imayyer Shehadeh died from his wounds after being involved in clashes with settlers south of Nablus the following day.
