A Turkish plane has crashed in southwestern Iran, with 11 people confirmed dead.

A private Turkish plane flying from the United Arab Emirates to Istanbul crashed on Sunday in the south of Iran with 11 people on board, Iranian state television reported.
All 11 people have been reported killed. The plane was carrying eight passengers and three crew members, according to Reza Jafarzadeh, head of the Iran Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
Emergency relief teams were dispatched to the site of the crash, however the many rivers and mountainous terrain of the location has made it difficult for rescue workers to access, according to ISNA.
The plane had left from the emirate of Sharjah and went down near the city of Shahr-e Kord, about 400 kilometres (250 miles) south of Tehran, it reported on Iranian state TV.
The aircraft was a Canadian-made Bombardier, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
"The plane is on fire. After the pilot asked to lower altitude, it disappeared from the radar," Tasnim quoted an ICAO official as saying.
Shahr-e Kord is located in Kiar county, in Charmahal and Bakhtiari presence near the Zagros mountain range, where an Iranian plane crashed last month due to bad weather conditions, killing all 66 people on board.
Photos quickly emerged on social media purporting to show the crash site from afar.
