At least 30 people were killed in twin car bombings in the Libyan city of Benghazi Tuesday with fears the death toll could rise, doctors told AFP.
The first car bomb was detonated outside a mosque in the central neighbourhood of al-Sleimani in the war-torn eastern Libyan city, a security source said.
Benghazi was fully captured by Libya's Khalifa Haftar in July, three years after his forces launched an operation against Islamist militias that controlled the city.

Thirty minutes later and a second vehicle exploded in the same area, causing more casualties among security services and civilians.
The death toll went up after an earlier estimate of nine dead and 43 wounded.Benghazi was fully captured by Libya's Khalifa Haftar in July, three years after his forces launched an operation against Islamist militias that controlled the city.
Clashes has continued, including attacks on diplomatic facilities and security forces.
Haftar supports a parliament based in the far east of Libya, while a rival UN-backed unity government in the capital Tripoli.
