Syria's Free Idlib Army - a newly formed FSA-linked breakaway faction - have posted videos showing an arsenal of rockets it recently used in attacks on regime positions.
Syria's newest rebel alliance have launched several Grad rocket strikes against regime positions in a key northern supply route to Aleppo.

The Free Idlib Army announced its formation from three separate rebel groups on Monday. Videos seen on the group's YouTube account show soldiers launching truck-mounted Grad BM-21 rockets.

An unnamed source in the Pentagon warned Reuters on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia would arm rebels with Grad rockets in order to "fight the Russians".

"The Saudis have always thought that the way to get the Russians to back off is what worked in Afghanistan 30 years ago - negating their air power by giving MANPADS [man portable air-defence systems] to the mujahideen," said the source.

Syrian rebel groups recently received military aid from foreign states via a US-supported co-ordination center in Turkey, media said.

The 9M22U fragmentation rockets seen in the video appear display Bulgarian tags.

According to one analysis of Balkan weapons exports, Saudi Arabia is the biggest importer of weapons from the Balkan region.
