Four young men have been executed by Islamic State militants in the group's de facto capital Raqqa, for allegedly providing intelligence to the US-led collation, a monitoring group reported Sunday.
The Islamic State [IS] group beheaded four teenagers and young men in its Syria stronghold of Raqqa for allegedly providing intelligence to the US-led coalition, a monitoring group said Sunday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said IS beheaded them after accusing them of "photographing sites and handing information to the crusader coalition causing bombing and the death of Muslims."

"ISIS executed 4 people they accused them of spying for coalition," citizen journalist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently [RBSS] said on Twitter, using another acronym for the militant group.

RBSS documents abuses in areas under IS control in Syria.

Since 2014, a US-led coalition has been targeting IS in Syria, where the militants have made Raqqa their de facto capital.

IS has previously carried out several beheadings in Raqqa.

And last October, the decapitated bodies of two RBSS activists originally from Raqqa were found in the Turkish city of Sanliurfa, 55 kilometres [35 miles] from the border with Syria's Raqqa province.

In February, Turkish police identified four IS members as their killers.
