Two killed in Jerusalem drive-by shooting
A Palestinian man has been killed after allegedly opening fire near an Israeli police station in occupied East Jerusalem, killing two.

Two people have been killed and several others injured in a drive-by shooting in Jerusalem on Sunday morning. The gunman was shot and killed by Israeli police at the scene.
The attack occurred on Sunday at a light rail station near the Israeli police headquarters in Sheikh Jarrah, close to the line dividing mainly Palestinian east Jerusalem from the mostly Jewish western sector of the city.
The alleged attacker – a 39-year-old Palestinian man identified by his family as Musbah Abu Sbeih from the neighbourhood of Silwan in Jerusalem – was pursued by police on motorcycles and was shot dead. Israeli police say he also opened fire on police.
Details were still emerging from incident, which comes as setllers have been repeatedly storming flashpoint al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem for the holidays of Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish new year, and Yom Kippur.
Since a wave of unrest started in October 2015, 232 Palestinians, now including Sbeih have been killed, while 34 Israelis, two Americans, one Jordanian, an Eritrean and a Sudanese national have also been killed.
