Weill is an international lawyer specialised in international humanitarian law. Her field of interest is the relationship between international and domestic law, the politics of international law, the judicial enforcement mechanism of international law and the law of military occupation.

At the beginning of 2015, the Palestinian Authority applied to become a signatory to the Rome Statue and subject to the ICC’s jurisdiction. Five years ago this would have been unimaginable. Al-Araby al-Jadeed considers this legal saga from its beginnings.
